Teen Writers – Open Mic!

For the first time since 2020, Writopia’s Teen Open Mic is back in Mount Kisco. Teaming up with MKAC at Curio Room, the event will be hosted by teen emcees.

Share any original writing you have: spoken word poetry, short fiction, comic monologues, scene excerpts, or your own songs. If it’s yours, it belongs here.

How to participate

• Use the QR code on the flyer (or go here) to sign up for a performance slot.
• You can also come just to listen and support. And if you’re up for it, same day sign-up is okay too!

What to expect

• A friendly, low-pressure room.
• Quick sets so lots of people can share.

Time guideline

As a rule of thumb, keep pieces to around two minutes. If time allows, you may have the option to perform a second piece.

Good to know

• This event is for teens ages 13-18.
• Please share only original work.
