Celebrating Black women who shaped the sound of jazz

The Mount Kisco Arts Council presents Black Women Songwriters of the Jazz Decades, a performance and lecture honoring African American women composers and lyricists who helped shape ragtime, blues, jazz, swing, and bop.

Featuring music historian Michael G. Garber and jazz vocalist Tammy Brown, the program celebrates National Black Women in Jazz and the Arts Month and Women’s History Month.

Michael Garber’s book Songs She Wrote will also be available through The Curio Room for signing.
