A reading, conversation and Q&A about memory, courage and the writing process

Join the Mount Kisco Arts Council for a conversation with memoirists Celia Hirsch and Susan Hodara. Celia will read excerpts from her new memoir, Telling: What Remains Hidden Becomes Lethal, then talk with Susan about the writing process and the personal revelations that emerged along the way.

Susan worked closely with Celia as she wrote, developing a creative partnership and friendship. Together, they’ll explore what it means to confront painful memories and move beyond fear and self-doubt. An audience Q&A will follow.

Celia’s career spans graphic design, art and entrepreneurship, including founding SPACE Yoga in Katonah. Susan is a journalist, memoirist and educator who has taught memoir workshops at the Hudson Valley Writers Center since 2009.
